psychotherapy

In my practice I offer individual psychotherapy for adults, children and adolescents. In accordance with my qualifications , I work mainly with the methods of systemic therapy and behavioral therapy .

My treatment focuses on the following disorders

  • Anxiety : generalized anxiety, social phobias, phobias ("claustrophobia", fear of exams ), "painting"), panic

  • Depression : exhaustion depression, depressive episodes

  • Stress management (burnout syndrome )

Typical process:

Basically, psychotherapy always works when the quality of the relationship between client and therapist is good, or to put it bluntly: when "the chemistry" is right. During an initial consultation, you have the opportunity to get to know me and my way of working and to ask questions about a possible further course of action. If you decide to have therapy with me, I recommend weekly appointments - at least at the beginning. It is important to me that you can decide freely at any time whether you want to continue the therapy. In my view, this is the case when you feel that you are in good hands and have the feeling that our discussions are enabling you to make a clearly positive change. We know from neurophysiology that the formation of new nerve connections in the brain - such as those that occur when behavior changes - takes around 3 months. You should therefore reserve this period for yourself or your treatment with me.

Systemic therapy always looks at people in their social relationships and against the background of their respective subjective constructions of reality. It works in a solution-oriented manner, strengthens resources and is designed more as a short-term therapy.

Behavioral therapy assumes that disorders arise when basic psychological needs are difficult to satisfy due to certain experiences and attitudes. As a method based on a learning theory, it assumes that unfavorable learning experiences can be corrected by "overwriting" in the sense of active relearning.
